The Chicle Initiative / What the Hella?

Interesting beauty product packaging designed by The Way We See the World:"THE CHICLE INITIATIVE is a line of beauty products designed to help the communities of the Yucatan Peninsula who harvest a natural material called chicle latex. Developing a viable economic export would preserve their indigenous culture and natural habitat and protect their land from being clear-cut. This project is inspired by the Cooper-Hewitt's exhibition, Design for a Living World, in which Hella Jongerius was asked to find an industrial use for chicle but was unable to. We were determined to pick up where Hella left off."More after the jump.
