I am loving this clever fruit hanger by Simon Colabufalo, which debuted at DesignEX 2012 in Sydney. Made of polished aluminum, this prototype was designed to bring the fruit back to the tree. Die klassischen, eigentlich viel zu schweren Formen, bekommen durch die Reduktion des Material eine völlig neue Wirkung. Die Kombination aus weißem Eichenholzes, patinierten Metallbeschlägen und dem hellen Orange auf Schubladen und Tablett, harmoniert bei Zachary Roses “Carrot Stick Credenza” wirklich großartig miteinander. Die Schiebetüren funktionieren ohne zusätzliche Mechaniken und werden ganz traditionell in Holzführungen bewegt. Link: Carrot Stick Credenza

Flab

Ein klassisches, gedrechseltes Tischbein stand Modell, als Flab entworfen wurde. Durch die Umsetzung als klemmbare Version aus Stahlblech bekommt die Idee aber neuen Schwung und wird zu einem zeitgemäßen Detail in der Gestaltung. Flab wird einfach in vierfacher Ausführung an eine beliebige Platte gesteckt und fertig ist der neue Tisch. Link: Flab
