Hotel de Paris, St. Tropez + CLA

This weekend’s adventures lead me from LA to St. Tropez by way of Paris and Marseille to try out the new Mercedes-Benz CLA. While there, Mercedes-Benz took over newly redone, iconic Hotel de Paris St. Tropez, which barely reopened the doors before Mercedes moved in for this round of drives. Mixed into the sculptures throughout the lobby, we were greeted with displays of the new CLA Dashboard, Direct Steer System, various engines and more… which fit right in! In the main courtyard, the new CLA and it’s larger influence, the CLS were on show. Apparently the Hotel de Paris was one of THE first hotels in St Tropez back in the 1930s, and was THE spot to be seen in the 60s and 70s (think artists, starlets, and more). Freshly redone by interior designer, Sybille de Margerie, it is quite a mix of design styles, and the hardest things to miss are the stunning spherical chandelier of metal petals of sorts in the lobby… and the nearly ready glass bottom pool that is suspended over the lobby which is viewable from all floors! Take a peek at the details of the Hotel de Paris St. Tropez with its Mercedes-Benz CLA flourishes on the next page!TO PAGE 2 of "Hotel de Paris, St. Tropez + CLA"! -----> (Want more visual goodness? Before & After: Snapea Crisps

"With an opportunity to reposition and repackage their existing two-SKU line, Calbee North America sought to grow the brand by leveraging their small, but loyal salty-snack / salad topper customer base. Though intentions are to remain in the produce department of traditional grocery and the snack aisle of club and natural food retailers, the new brand position was the driver behind the expanded six-SKU line of multi-occasion snacks that deliver tasty, delicious, good-for-you fun from nature."

Bach Expresso

"Bach (pronounced ‘batch’) Espresso is a retail Café franchise brand – in a highly competitive New Zealand market, dominated by small local boutique coffee roasters. Coats were briefed to reinvigorate the Brand across all formats – coffee bags, sugar sticks, cups, staff uniforms and café fixtures. The existing Bach brand had no emotive story connecting it to its unique origins – the classic Kiwi family bach. The Kiwi bach is an integral part of the relaxed Kiwi family holiday scene. Our inspiration came from the retro 1950s summer bach, a simple construction, often beachside, that’s been handed down through generations of Kiwi families. These have been built, added on to and evolved over many years resulting in an eclectic assortment of materials and hand-me-down furniture and fixtures."

Barnes & Noble HD+ Tablet

"The package Uneka developed for the Barnes & Noble NOOK HD+ does more than simply protect and transport - it showcases. This groundbreaking design literally elevates the NOOK HD+ as the consumer opens the box to create a real-world HD experience and an immediate “wow” feeling even before they use the product. This is done via an elegantly simple split-hinged, rigid box and molded pulp that also provides outstanding, yet unobtrusive protection for the tablet. The all-paper solution is both environmentally friendly and cost-effective, while complementing the high-end nature of the device. The sensible, simple, sleek, and unexpected presentation helps set this product apart in a crowded marketplace.

Madhav

"Madhava recently launched a line of certified organic honey that is as close to being straight out of the hive as you can palatably get. The packaging for their sweet nectar needed to be as equally natural and raw. Traditional mason jars, brightly colored, hand-painted labels and hand drawn type were a perfect fit. Silkscreened caps highlight the Sweet Earth Project which donates 10 cents of every jar sold to nonprofit organizations working to save the bees and enhance sustainability. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, including retailers who agreed to sell the product after seeing the packaging."
