Black Tea Ice Cubes at The Spence, ATL

Going through my phone, and due to an unfortunate delay in what was going to be sponsored content, i just rediscovered some Atlanta adventures i’d been saving to share with you guys! While in Atlanta for the Final Four, we tried a few delicious restaurants… and one noteworthy detail is definitely the Black Tea Ice Cubes in the cocktails at The Spence (from Chef Richard Blais, winner of Bravo’s “Top Chef All-Stars” )! When you’re first sipping on the drink, you know there’s a tea bag like tag and string hanging out of the glass, and some kind of huge ice cube, but it’s unclear how it all connects until you sip through it (and as it melts) only to find the cube on the end of the string! While ice on a string would have amused me already, finding out that their actually freeze black tea in the cube made even more sense… Take a peek at the details and a few more pics (and a video!) on the next page…TO PAGE 2 of "Black Tea Ice Cubes at The Spence, ATL"! -----> (Want more visual goodness? "Do we need more beer? Well, yeah. Especially if it’s really great beer! That’s what impressed us, Geneva Lake’s attention to detail. Superior ingredients, meticulous brewing conditions yielding unparalleled results. One taste and we knew, this was the real deal. Geneva Lake founded their family brewery in the heart of big beer country. A gutsy stand not for the faint-hearted indeed."

@ The Dieline Conference: Put Your Money Where Your Mouse Is

Kevin Shaw will be speaking at The Dieline Package Design Conference 2013 on Put Your Money Where Your Mouse Is.   Put Your Money Where Your Mouse Is Kevin Shaw, Founder and Creative Director of Stranger & Stranger, argues that designers are treated very differently and given much more freedom if they are proactive and put their own creative balls on the line. The work of packaging creatives is directly measured against sales successes. Having mastered the very dark art of persuading people to part with good money for products they haven't tried, in a crowded market, in a recession, packaging designers are in a unique position to create a new model for their businesses. Using actual client presentations he will show you how designers can elevate themselves from “temperamental creative types” to trusted business partners and explains how it helps to sell in better creative work—and why people don't ask him to change fonts anymore.   About Kevin Shaw Kevin Shaw served time in advertising, publishing, corporate and even digital design but discovered the power of FMCG packaging while working on Coca-Cola. Bored to tears after winning the Dell account in the early nineties, Kevin began to design wine labels as a hobby in exchange for bordeaux wine and so Stranger & Stranger was born. Their labels now appear on over a billion beers, wines and spirits every year. Kevin is an advocate for innovation and now advises all sizes of brands from[..]
