Sephora + Pantone Universe: Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid

Every year Sephora + Pantone Universe collaborates to bring fruit a "Color of the Year" beauty line. For 2014, "Color of the Year" is Radiant Orchid, a petal-soft or vividly intense limited-edition beauty line that features complementary tones that are modern, feminine jolt for eyes, lips, cheeks, and nails. A stunning and bold (literary radiant orchid) packaging was created to unite the collaboration. "While the 2013 color of the year, PANTONE 17-5641 Emerald, served as a symbol of growth, renewal and prosperity, Radiant Orchid reaches across the color wheel to intrigue the eye and spark the imagination. An invitation to innovation, Radiant Orchid encourages expanded creativity and originality, which is increasingly valued in today’s society. An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm."- Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute®GS_googleAddAdSenseService("ca-pub-3860711577872988");GS_googleEnableAllServices();GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-3860711577872988", "incontent1");GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-3860711577872988", "incontent2");GA_googleFetchAds(); GA_googleFillSlot("incontent1"); GA_googleFillSlot("incontent2");   A modern and surprisingly versatile shade, Radiant Orchid enlivens the skin, making[..]

Before & After: Lipton Tea

Lipton Tea is an aromatic, uplifting beverage savored for centuries around the world from India and Ireland to the United States.  Recently, Lipton revealed plans for the launch of its "Be More Tea™ campaign," a new global brand positioning encouraging people to snap out of their routines and to embrace each day with a more present, playful and thoughtful mindset.  The campaign kicked off with a 60-second spot that aired during the Academy Awards, featuring the Muppets as they prepare for their upcoming movie "Muppets Most Wanted."In correlation, Lipton simplified their logo to the campaign kick-off. The new logo features a slight variation with typography and shading. As a whole, we feel as it is an improvement of the previous sun and its multiple lens flares, but the typography feels bare. What do you think? Please share your thoughts below.        Related Posts:Before & After: Olive Garden's New LogoBefore & After: Seafood Kitchen

Munchery

Munchery is a San Francisco based service that provides premium prepared dinners from top local chefs, delivered to your door. They have redesign their packaging with a focus on sustainability and functionality. "We used to have ugly plastic packaging, that aside from being bad for the environment, it also didn't work in the oven.... which is the way most of our chefs recommend heating up their food. So customers used to have to do an awkward transfer into something oven safe."        Related Posts:FreshRealm VesselBiysk Fishery

Choiselle

Designed by Projekt, Inc., Choiselle is a line of artisanal skin care products developed by Nydia Norville. Using only natural ingredients, she created three distinct skin care products - Body Butter, Body Lotion, and Bath & Body Oil, each come in three scents — Lavender, Lemongrass, and Ylang Ylang. Nydia's family hails from St. Lucia, where skincare products like this have been created by hand, for personal use, for quite some time. While the spirit of that culture is the basis for her entire company, she asked that the packaging whisper something about her Caribbean roots, not scream it. Which, aside from being genius direction, helped us create a delicate balance, reflecting both the high-end nature of her products and her heritage.         Related Posts:CocoonWaitrose Pure

Taken Wine

Taken Wine Company is owned by two long-time friends who grew up in winemaking families and chose to pursue the craft as adults. As their flagship wine, the clients wanted Taken to tell their story in a clean, upscale package that reflects the quality of the wine. The design uses two overlaying circles; the hand-drawn quality illustrates the craftsmanship in their wine and the two overlaying shapes represent the paths they have "Taken" back home to carry on their families' traditions. The illustrations were created by Mira Nameth.         Related Posts:The Rigoletto BrandStudent: Outcask
