Food Machine from PJADAD enables remote controlled collaborative cooking

PJADAD, Christian Isberg, Carl Berglöf and Lasse Korsgaard have created the Food Machine, which enables up to five chefs to collaborate remotely on the preparation of a dish through a digital platform. “The Food Machine is online and you can access it from anywhere in the world. The digital platform is linked to the machine though an ordinary internet connection. When any one of the chefs performs an action, a lamp lights up and the action is printed onto a rolling receipt, as well as creating a digital archive. This means that the chefs, and anyone else, can follow the process and learn from the experiment. Cooking sessions can last for 10 to 20 hours and result in a dish ready to serve. "This is a part of an ongoing discussion about food where events like this might have a permanent place in the future and become alternatives to[..]
